Emmanuelle Chriqui


Emmanuelle Sophie Anne Chriqui was born on December 10, 1977, in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, and grew up in the Toronto area. Bitten by the acting bug at the age of 9, her older brother Serge helped finance acting lessons for his baby sister. She made her professional debut in a television commercial for McDonald's -- the first of several TV ads she appeared in. With dreams of an acting career, she honed her craft in the Arts York Drama Program at Unionville High School, where she received a creative arts-oriented education.


In the mid-1990’s, Emmanuelle moved to Vancouver and guest-starred in several Canadian television series, including “Are You Afraid of the Dark?” Her first role in Hollywood was a supporting part in the movie “Detroit Rock City in 1999. She went on to appear in other movies such as “100 Girls”, “On the Line”, and “In the Mix.” However, her break out role was in “Snow Day” in 2000.
In 2001, Emmanuelle was nominated as Best Actress for her role in “100 Girls” by DVD Exclusive Awards for Video Premier Award. She starred opposite Lance Bass and Joey Fatone in “On the Line” in 2001, a role she was nominated for Film – Choice Lip Lock by Teen Choice Awards. Emmanuelle was ranked #90 in Stuff magazine’s 102 Sexiest Women in 2002. In 2003, Emmanuelle appeared in “Wrong Turn” and “Rick”, as well as an episode of “Jake 2.0.”
